News and Announcements

An introduction novice biathlon event will be held on Sunday, March 21 starting at 9 AM at the Snowflake biathlon range. Registration will be from 8 to 8:45 in the lower level of the Snowflake chalet. If there is snow, we will have a shooting clinic and safety briefing from 9 to 9:45 and a novice race over a 1.6 km course with two shooting bouts in prone position. So, participants will ski the 1.6 km loop three times. If there is not sufficient snow, we will have mainly a shooting-marksmanship event with short range loops. The cost is $20.
Participants will be given ammunition and the use of rifles. We will have air rifles set up for those who would also like to try shooting in the standing position.
High School / Junior High skiers and adults are welcome.

We will be having the final team ski race suit and race bib collection on Thursday, March 18th from 4:00 to 4:30 at Snowflake. Please bring your ski suit washed and in a gallon zip lock bag ( if you don’t have a bag we will have some) with the suit number(s) and size printed on the bag. Also bring your cleaned race bib. Information for an end of the season “banquet” will be coming out soon. I am waiting to find out when we will receive the medals from Sections and State so we can give them out at the gathering.

See you soon.
