West Yellowstone Information

Hello Skiers,

We had been looking forward to the West Yellowstone trip this Thanksgiving but….

Due to the high numbers of COVID cases we do not feel that we can safely run our West Yellowstone Trip. Those of you that have been on the trip before know that we need to fill the buses and have 4 to a room to make the trip cost effective. This means that the bus ride, hotel rooms, our dinners and team meeting are too crowded to be safe during this COVID pandemic. We are very sorry to cancel the West Yellowstone ski trip this Thanksgiving but look forward to having the trip in 2022.

See you on the ski trail,

Coaches Bonnie and Dave

Hello Skiers and Parents,

It has been quite awhile since we last gathered in March as a Nordic Ski Team.

At that time both the Boys and Girls Teams had won the Section 7 Championship and competed in the State Meet. Due to COVID restrictions, no medals were awarded to any Nordic teams at those meets.

We need to have an awards gathering to celebrate all of you East Nordic Skiers!

You and your family are invited to an outdoor gathering at Snowflake on Wednesday, May 12 at 6 p.m. We will meet on the sliding hill at the back of the chalet. Parents at the bottom of the hill, skiers about the middle where Coach Patti’s group met and Coaches will be around where my group met.

The awards that will be given out:
East Letters
Team Awards: Most Improved, Most Team Spirit, Rookie Skier of the Year, Most Valuable Skier, Captains Awards
Section Meet Medals
State Meet Medals

We hope you are enjoying springtime in Duluth.

We look forward to seeing you Wednesday evening at Snowflake

Please wear a mask!

Best Regards,
Bonnie

Hello Skiers and Parents,

I hope you have been having a great end of ski season/springtime. I have been trying to track down the Section and State Meet medals and trophies. The only thing that I know is that they will be sent out from the High School League sometime. I have the letters and team awards and when I receive the other medals I will send out a date for our gathering at Snowflake. I am very sorry for this delay but I think it is very important to have the State and Section medals in order to have a ceremony for awarding them. I expect we will have this gathering in May.

Get outside and enjoy the spring.

I look forward to seeing you.

Bonnie
