Reminder - Store Closes Sunday, November 28 - Duluth East Nordic Team Jacket and Hat Order Information
Here is the website for ordering the East Nordic Team Jacket and Hat. Remember this is optional and we don’t change the jacket style for many years. So unless you outgrow it or wear it out (I’ve never seen that happen, LOL) you won’t have to buy another one.

First Week of Practice...
Hello Skiers and Parents,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 East Nordic Ski Team.
Our practices start on Monday, November 15th. We will meet at East High School until we can ski at Snowflake. Plan to meet at 3:45 outside the main entrance at East ready to run. Please wear a mask while we are gathered for warm-up exercises and instructions. Practice will end about 5 p.m. for the new/younger skiers and between 5 -5:30 p.m. for the older skiers while we are running from East H.S. Please dress for the weather!
Our middle school skiers from Ordean East can take bus #2 from Ordean to East H.S. Before taking this bus, a skier must bring a not from a parent stating that the skier is on the East Nordic Ski Team and is using the bus to get to practice at East. That note must be brought to the Ordean Middle School office before using the bus.
Attention – Please Note:
We are having trouble arranging a Snowflake bus to go from Ordean East to East to Snowflake. There are plenty of busses but no drivers available. Do we have a parent that would be willing to get the proper license and be our bus driver? The bus company is willing to help with this. Please give me a call if you are interested.
All skiers remember – If you are sick, DO NOT ATTEND PRACTICE!

Hello Skiers,
We had been looking forward to the West Yellowstone trip this Thanksgiving but….
Due to the high numbers of COVID cases we do not feel that we can safely run our West Yellowstone Trip. Those of you that have been on the trip before know that we need to fill the buses and have 4 to a room to make the trip cost effective. This means that the bus ride, hotel rooms, our dinners and team meeting are too crowded to be safe during this COVID pandemic. We are very sorry to cancel the West Yellowstone ski trip this Thanksgiving but look forward to having the trip in 2022.

10 AM until 1PM
Register: Lower Level of Chalet from 9 to 9:45 AM
Late Arrivals: Go directly to Biathlon Range
Opportunity: 1. Practice Shooting at Biathlon Targets with Instruction from Trained Biathlon Coaches and Athletes
2. Participate in 3 km novice race with 2 shooting bouts.
Cost: $15.00 which includes Instruction, Use of Rifle and Ammunition
Additions: Air Rifles also available for those who would like to try shooting in standing position
